“How fortunate am I among the sentient to know my purpose.”
First line in Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman

We’ve finally arrived at my favorite season of the year so today I’ll be sharing my spring TBR through Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
Looking back on my winter TBR, I just finished the last book on that last week so I have no carry-overs, which means we jump right into the books I’ll be reading in spring!

- Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke
- Bruiser by Neal Shusterman
- Honeybee by Craig Silvey
- The Grief of Stones (The Cemeteries of Amalo #2) by Katherine Addison

- Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart
- Gleanings by Neal Shusterman
- Normal People by Sally Rooney
- Graceling (Graceling Realm #1) by Kristin Cashore

A lot of standalones, apparently, but also a lot of shorter books because I probably need to dedicate an entire month to Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. And putting two books by Shusterman on here was actually an accident but also, why change it?
Let me know if you’ve read any of these and what you thought of them! I can’t wait to get to them!

I’ve tried like…three or four times to read Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell and just never have been able to get through it. I hope you have better luck! Happy reading!

I know it’s dense but I’m usually okay with that kind of writing so hopefully, I don’t need three or four attempts to get through it š š¤

Gleanings sounds interesting.

I’m obviously most excited about you reading Graceling and The Grief of Stones!! š¤š„°š¤
And I’ve been wanting to read Normal People for ages but can’t find a copy anywhere, which is why I opted for Beautiful World, Where Are You? as an interim solution… I’m almost done with the audiobook, but although I’m enjoying it, I’d still say it’s just okay – mostly a bunch of sex with some philosophical thoughts thrown in š So I might also have to wait for your opinion to see if Normal People is more up my alley. The synopsis definitely sounds the most intriguing out of all of Sally Rooney’s books! š¤
Also, I’m definitely looking forward to your thoughts on Gleanings! I’ve avoided it so far because all novella-like things inherently make me skeptical, but then again, Neal Shusterman did write it…

I really thought Normal People was so popular that all libraries and bookstores had at least ten copies of it but I guess not š¤ I barely know what it’s about so I have zero expectations. All I know is everybody loves Rooney’s books so I better see what all the fuss is about.

I haven’t read any of these (I always say this- what do I even read? š), but I hope you enjoy all of them!
I do have friends, however, who constantly rave over Normal People and I trust their taste, so I guess there must something really good about it. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it too when you finish it!

Lol, don’t worry, I think I say the same thing about the books in your posts š Our tastes just don’t overlap that much.
And yeah, with Normal People I’ve either heard people raving about or hating it because of its popularity so I’m excited to see where I end up.
