Top Ten Tuesday: Fall 2022 TBR

“The Golem’s life began in the hold of a steamship.”

First line in The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker

Apparently, it’s fall now so here is my fall 2022 TBR through Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. As per usual, I check whether I managed the previous season’s TBR, and well, I missed one: The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison. I swear I tried though! My library has been messing with me (long story), but I should still be able to read it within a few weeks so it’s not going on my official fall TBR. Instead, that looks like this:

I think that is a good mix and I’m holding myself accountable when it comes to finishing two series. After having read Hobb for so long and now taking a break, I also finally have room to start another high fantasy series in The Emperor’s Blades. That one has been on my TBR forever.
What are you reading this fall? Are you also thinking about completing series before the end of the year?

  1. Why do you have to pick the one week where I have absolutely no free time to double post? 😭 But, actually, I guess I’m not really complaining… I’m really excited to hear your thoughts on some of these! πŸ€— UnDivided for one thing, obviously, but I’d also be interested in your opinion on Sea of Tranquility (I loved Station Eleven, but wasn’t that impressed by Emily St. John Mandel’s other books) and The Scorpio Races (my sister had a copy that I vaguely remember wanting to borrow at some point, but then I read the Wolves of Mercy Falls, became very skeptical of Steifvater, and my sister gave the book away before my interest was rekindled)… And I’ve heard good things about many of the others, too, so I’m looking forward to you testing them and giving me a verdict! πŸ˜‡

    1. I’m sorry but I have no control over the Top Ten Tuesday prompts. OR your schedule for that matter. It’s really not my fault 😁
I’ve only read Station Eleven by Mandel and even though I wasn’t super impressed, I still wanted to try something else by her. And Sea of Tranquility is short. And I have not read anything that warrants me being skeptical of Stiefvater so far so I’m kind of excited to see what kind of book The Scorpio Races is.
