“I’m dead set on living my one life right, but I can’t say the same for my brother.”

First line in Infinity Son by Adam Silvera

Hi, guys. Hope you’re having a lovely week. Here you have my weekly update on my reading through WWW Wednesday. It’s a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, and it’s meant to give you all a little insight into my reading this week. I’ll answer the 3 questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish?
  • What do you think you’ll read next

What did you recently finish?

Infinity Son by Adam Silvera. Sad to say that it ended up being a 2.5 star read. I thought the idea and message Silvera wanted to get across was really good and interesting. There were just several serious problems with the execution of it. The characters were one-dimensional, and I sorely missed more information about the world and the magic.

What are you currently reading?

My commute book is The Crimson Crown by Cinda Williams Chima which I’m 24% into. I’m not sure whether I have an opinion of it yet but I’m liking the fact that we’re getting more of the political sub-plot than we got in the previous book. That has really been my main area of interest all the way through this series, and I’m very excited to see how it all ends in this final book.

I’m also reading A Touch of Death by Rebecca Crunden which I’m halfway through. It’s been a quite fun reading experience so far. I really enjoy the pacing. It’s action-packed but interspersed with deep emotional moments.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan, book 3 in The Wheel of Time.

  1. Your thoughts about Infinity Son seem to be pretty common ones. I agree with it, especially the world-building issue! I did love the superheroes, though. I love superhero books. I’ve heard great things about the entire Wheel of Time series, too. Hope you enjoy it!

    Here’s my WWW post.

  2. I am re-reading the final book in The Wheel of Time series next month. It’s going to be strange to be done with my series re-read – it has taken two years with one book every two months!

    1. You’ve reread it?! That’s so unfathomable to someone like me who’ve barely started the series. I’m impressed you took the time to do it, but I do appreciate rereading so I understand 😀

      1. Haha, I started reading them when I was a teen (twenty years ago) and read them spread out over many years until the last one came out. So it has been a while!
